How often should you repaint?
Here’s some information on how often you should repaint your home’s exterior here in New Zealand, as it can vary quite a bit.
Some homes manage to keep their colour for a whole decade, while others might start showing signs of wear and tear by year five.
The key factors that influence this difference are the materials your house is made of, its location, and how well it was painted the last time around.
If your home is in a coastal area, gets a lot of sun, or faces a fair amount of wind and rain, you’ll likely need to repaint on the shorter end of these scales.
Here’s a general guide to help you out:
